Board of Zoning Appeals Opening
The Board of Zoning Apeals meets the 1st Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm (as needed) to review any appeals to the zoning code. The Board consists of council members Brian Burns and Daryl Zornes, Building Commissioner Mike Spry and three residents. Currently, there is one resident-at-large opening. This is a great opportunity to serve your community and become involved in the Village. Please send a letter of interest to Mayor Curt Cosby, 3536 Church Street, Newtown, Ohio 45244.

May 1 and 2 - "Flower Show" - Moundview Park
May 31 - "Memorial Day Parade" - Parade assembly begins at 8:30 a.m. at Miami Valley Christian Academy. Parade Kickoff is at 10:00 am. Parade will end at Moundview Park for festivities.
August 14 - Saturday - "Newtown 5K Race" - Race begins at 9:00 am - Moundview Park
December 11 - Saturday - 4th Annual "Winterfest"
Newtown Police Citizen Police Academy
The Citizens Police Academy recently graduated its second class. Applications for the 2010 Spring class are now being accepted.
Applications are available in person at the Village of Newtown Town Hall, or by clicking here. Applicants must be 18 years or older. A criminal history check will be completed prior to acceptance.

NEWTOWN FLOWER FAIR
"Bloom Where You are Planted"
The newly formed Newtown Garden Club will meet Thursday evenings at Moundview park at 6:30 p.m. The Garden Club is currently working on sponsoring a "Flower Show" to be held at Moundview Park April 30, May 1 and May 2, 2010.
