Our officers frequently attend formal advanced training classes and seminars, to maintain their high level of proficiency and professionalism. We constantly strive to improve our training methods, in the classroom, on the street, as well as on the weapons range, for the safety of the officers, and ultimately for the benefit of our residents. In these times of international turmoil, with the threat of terrorist activities, citizens often ask about Homeland Security, and what they can do to prepare for their family's safety. In the event of an attack on the United States, Hamilton County and the Ohio Homeland Security have both developed websites to keep the public informed. These sites are designed to give you in-depth information as well as suggested guidelines for the safety and well-being of your family and friends.

The Newtown Police Division, as well as the Little Miami Fire District personnel, are dedicated and well trained, with your safety foremost in our minds. We stand united and ready to take appropriate action should the Alert Level become elevated. We must all remember to be alert, not alarmed. Stay calm.
