In order to make you and your family more comfortable in your surroundings, our maintenance department provides you with the following services:

  • Garbage and Recycle Pickup - Trash and recyclable materials are picked up on Mondays throughout the Village of Newtown by Rumpke. Need a recycle bin? We provide and deliver. Call 271.2009.

Leaf Season - October 15 - December 31, 2008

Residents should take note of the following procedures for disposal of leaves:

Bulk leaves must be raked to the curb and will be picked up by the Village Service Department using the vacuum leaf collection during the collection period.

Residents are required to keep grass, brush clippings and other debris (rock, gravel, trash, metal, etc.) out of the leaves. Leaf piles containing such debris will not be picked up. Such debris can damage leaf collection equipment. Do not place leaves in the street or gutter. Leaves placed in the street or gutter clog gutters and storm drains and may constitute a traffic hazard. Leaves should be placed just behind the curb in your yard, extend not more than 8 feet up into your yard. Our equipment cannot reach any further.

Limbs (Year round). This service is intended for the occasional limb that comes off of a tree from a storm.

We will pick up on an as needed basis.

Limbs must not be larger than 4" in diameter and no longer than 6 feet.

When placing them by the street leave them side by side with the broken or cut end of the limb placed closest to the street.

If you are cutting down trees, shrubs, bushes, clippings, prunings, etc., it is the property owners responsibility to dispose of this yard waste. Residents are encouraged to use the Hamilton County's free yardwaste drop off site. The closest one to the Village is located at 3295 Turpin Lane.
