2009 VILLAGE PROJECTS
Barrett Paving has been awarded a contract for Round Bottom Road, River Hills subdivision and Ivy Hills Lane. The work is scheduled to begin May 11, 2009 and weather permitting, should be completed by June 15, 2009. Round Bottom Road will be widened in some areas with full-depth repair. Round Bottom Road, River Hills subdivision and Ivy Hills Lane will be milled and paved.

Yard Sales
The Village of Newtown requires a permit to conduct a yard/garage sale with the village; the cost of the permit is $5.00.
The requirement of obtaining a permit and paying a fee for conducting a yard/garage sale in the Village of Newtown is hereby waived for any yard/garage sale conducted in the Village of Newtown on the first Friday, Saturday and Sunday in May and the first Friday, Saturday and Sunday in October of each year.
Yard sale signs may be displayed day before sale and need to
be removed the "last" day of yard sale. Yard Sale signs are NOT allowed on utility poles and should only be displayed on
metal or wood stakes. Any signs placed on utility poles will be removed.
