It is the goal of the Newtown Police Division to provide you with an all-around sense of protection and security. We are located in the Municipal Building at 3536 Church Street, just north of Main Street (SR 32).
In order to make you and your family more comfortable in your surroundings, our police officers provide you with the following services, 24-hours a day.
- We respond to all fire, medical, intrusion and panic alarms monitored by your security agency (such as Honeywell, ADT, Buckeye, etc.)
- For those times that you need to get away, we provide Vacation House Checks while you are gone. Simply stop by the Municipal Building, Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. All information is kept strictly confidential and will be destroyed upon your safe return.
- We maintain a database of our businesses, with emergency/night numbers and key holders. Please update your information so that our files are current with your emergency contact informtion.
- We have a Key Keeper program for the senior residents who live alone in case of a medical emergency.
- Our Bike Patrol officers are working hard so be sure to stop and say, "hello" when you see them out patrolling.
- We have a Block Watch Program for the neighborhood. If interested, ask your neighbors, your Homeowner's Association, or contact Sergeant Tom Synan for more information.
- We offer bicycle registration through the National Bicycle Registry program.
- We have trained personnel available to speak to groups on various topics concerning safety and security.
- We are involved in all major community events.
